Our Final Term!

It has been an incredibly busy and fun filled last term in Room 15, and the Summer Holidays are just around the corner.

Just before the holidays we all took part in the Go Run for Fun. Some of us were lucky enough to have our photos feature in a news article about it, you can read the whole story here: http://www.paisley.org.uk/2016/04/hundreds-kids-fun-run/

It is a very exciting time for our Primary 6 pupils, as they begin to learn about the different responsibilities that they will be undertaking next year, and an even more exciting time for our Primary 7 pupils who will be moving up to High School in August. With that in mind our Primary 7 pupils have enjoyed taking part in a transition programme with the rest of their year group, and they have also had the opportunity to meet several teachers from Renfrew High School who have come in to deliver lessons in various areas of the curriculum. Primary 6 have had their share of the fun too, with all of them taking part in Playmaker training and being awarded their certification. They have been putting their skills to good use down in the infant playground, where they have been leading fun games and making sure that the smaller pupils stay safe at play time.

As a whole class we have been making the most of the lovely weather this term, taking our learning outside wherever possible. As well as running our Daily Mile we have been enjoying our PE activities outside, and we have also been lucky enough to sit out on the grass during reading time and share our opinions about our new novel.

We have had a big focus on Health this term, and have been learning about Smoking, Alcohol, Drugs, and Our Bodies. We have found out loads of fascinating information and asked plenty of questions - using our new Wonder Wall!

It's hard to believe that there is only one month left until the end of the school year. I feel very lucky to have such an amazing group of pupils, and will miss you all very much next year!
