2016 in Room 15

We have made a great start to the year in Room 15, working hard and almost always staying on the star, which has earned us Best Behaved Class a number of times so far. We have all made our own personal resolutions which will be displayed in class for the year. Having them on display will help to remind us to work towards them, and make us more likely to succeed.

In January we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit the Science department at West College Scotland, where we learned about Osmosis, used Chromatography paper, and examined the unique aspects of our finger prints.

We also got a bit of a shock with one of the experiments, where a build up of pressure resulted in a loud pop! Some of the faces we pulled were hilarious.

Then we were fortunate enough to participate in World of Work Week, where many people from a range of different careers came to speak to us about their job. There were a few jobs which we had never even heard of before, and it has helped us to think about our future, and what we need to do both inside school and at home to achieve these goals.

Our Primary 7s were lucky enough to take part in Work Cluedo which was amazing! It will be the Primary 6s turn next year.

We are well underway with our topic on the Transatlantic Slave Trade now and cannot wait to welcome you all to the school on Wednesday 23rd March to find out all about our learning. Hope to see you then! Primary 6/7 and Mrs Connolly. :)
