Literacy and Drama

We had a lot of fun devising playscripts for Oliver Twist in Language. Working in teams, we planned scripts based on the famous Dicken's novel. We performed our drama to our peers, who evaluated both our written work and performance. We stayed in character using still life to capture these images.

Fantastic job team- Miss McCurdy

Clapping Sequence

We've been developing our physical literacy, thinking skills and personal qualities through BMT in our classroom. Learning our clapping sequences and using these to develop our recall of multiples has really challenged our thinking. We've had to persevere and reflect regularly on our progress, but Miss McCurdy is now confident that we're ready to teach our families what we've learned. If you get stuck on tonight's homework, here's a reminder of clapping sequence 1.

Better Movers Thinkers Homework

Better Movers Thinkers

  1. How well do you think you taught the clapping routines?
  2. What was the highest times table fact you recalled while clapping?
  3. Make up your own clapping routine
  4. One for your parents/carers. How did you find better movers thinkers?

Thanks

Better Movers Thinkers in Maths

We've been clapping our way to times table success using BMT. Some of us has mastered routines 1 and 2. This week our homework is to teach our parents what we've learned in class.

We enjoy BMT because:

"It gets your brain active" - Lana

"It's like a brain warm up"- Eilidh

"It helps with your concentration"
