St Andrews Poem
As a class we devised a poem to celebrate St. Andrews. Here's a preview before our assembly tomorrow.
We love Scotland, oh yes we do
We luv Scotland, oh
yes we do
We luv Scotland, oh
yes we do
We
Luv Scotland
We love Scotland, oh yes we do
Cos over here in
Scotland we make Irn Bru
We make tartan kilts
and splash around in our wellies
And we luv the taste
of warm haggis in our bellies (Mel)
Growing tatties for
warm winters stews
Dancing at ceilidhs
and having a ball,
And we're not too
worried about taking a fall (Zander)
We luv Scotland, oh
yes we do
With wee Sean Batty
on the STV news
Wae the rain going
high and the rain going low
We get the ear muffs
oot when he says it's gonnie snow (Ellie)
We luv Scotland, oh
yes we do
Although good sports
players are far and few
But we've got Chris
Allan and Chris Hoy
And they brought us
some Olympic joy (Kyle)
We luv Scotland, oh
yes we do
With William Wallace
and all his crew
Fighting battles for
freedom and glory
Becoming part of our
historical story (Thomas)
The home of golf and
the tele too
A wee time aff
school on St Andrew's Day
Playing with our
friends, hip, hip, hooray (S&J)
