Our amazing adventure- Lockerbie 2014
After a pleasant journey we arrived at the wonderful Lockerbie Manor.
On arrival we were shown to our rooms and given a tour of the building-we were all very excited!
We started our activities straight away- taking part in the blind trail which was VERY MUDDY but VERY FUN!
Dinner was served at 5pm! There was a lovely choice of food including bolognaise pasta and scampi, not to mention the scrumptious doughnuts!
After dinner we had another activity in our groups! Rifle shooting was fun and noisy!
Following this we returned to our bedrooms and prepared for our inspections and entertainment to gain some bonus points. The adults were very impressed by some of the high standards we set!
We all had a peaceful nights sleep and were invited for a run at 7am with the teachers! Only 1 of us accepted their offer- Jennifer McInally! Well done to her!
There was a huge selection of cereals and cooked foods at breakfast- everyone found something to eat!
Today was a day for canoeing with each group spending time on the loch. Some people jumped into the water from the edge of the boat- brrrrrrr it was chilly! Others were tipped in! We all survived!
Lunch was another success including hot dogs, wedges and lots of other tasty treats!
Mountain biking, abseiling and high/ low ropes were all on the afternoon agenda!
We were all ready for dinner by 5pm! Again, we were served lots of yummy food- chicken curry, cottage pie and bubble and squeak!
More activities followed dinner with one group doing climbing another on rifle shooting and the last doing crate building!
Tired on return, we have taken time to complete the blog and get showered and ready for bed! We are all going to tidy our rooms and prepare this evening's performances for the 'inspectors'.
Can't wait to find out what tomorrow has in store! We will keep you updated!
Over and out for tonight,
